Volunteering is more than just teaching someone how to read or do math, it helps to change a life. Whether it be a change in a job, lifestyle, or just to be able to read to their child or grandchild, it always has a positive effect on someone’s life. Good tutors have the power to influence the quality of a student’s life by helping them acquire literacy skills that are important in today’s complex world. A little time, patience and encouragement are all it takes to help someone learn.

Your commitment can be as little as 1 to 2 hours per week.
