We value our ties to the community and to the agencies we work with to deliver literacy and basic skills in the Peterborough region. These connections are too numerous to list here, and include other local and regional literacy organizations. Here are some of our major sponsors and community partnerships.
Sponsors
- Funders of the literacy and basic skills programs, including those at TVLA.

- TVLA has developed partnerships with Ontario Works to deliver academic upgrading and pre-employment skills to people on social assistance. These programs supplement the classes provided through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Industry Canada’s Community Access Programs
- Industry Canada’s Community Access Program (CAP) gives thousands of Canadians affordable access to the Internet in places like schools, community centres and libraries.
Peterborough and District United Way
- TVLA is proud to be a member of the United Way.
Partners
- We share our building with ReBOOT Peterborough, a community organization that supplies and refurbishes computer equipment for other community organizations and the general public. ReBOOT currently supplies and provides support for our computer lab.
Community Outreach

TVLA regularly delivers talks and hosts events in concert with other Peterborough community organizations. We also hold regular open houses to get acquainted with friends, neighbours and community partners. Check our main page for updates, and contact us if you’d like TVLA to connect with your organization.
